Online application at the Registrar General’s Department, (RGD) started in April 2003 and was upgraded three (3) years later on July 1, 2006 to accept payment online. Online application allows ease of access to the Agency’s services by enabling customers to visit the Agency’s website at www.rgd.gov.jm and make application for certificates relating to a vital event such as birth, death and marriage certificates.

Option - Requirements
You are required to have the following information ready to complete your online Birth application form
Full correct name of child
Child’s Gender-male/female
Child’s Date of birth
Place of birth: name of hospital or address of home
District of birth
Parish of birth
Mother’s name
Father’s name
Birth entry number
Place of registration
At this point you are asked to click if you don’t have a Birth entry number
You are required to have the following information ready to complete your online Death application form
Name of deceased
Place, Parish and District of Death
Date of Death
Sex of Deceased
Date and Place of Registration number
How the person died
At this point you are asked to click if you don’t have a Death entry number
You are required to have the following information ready to complete your online Marriage application form
Place of Marriage
Date of marriage
Parties’ name
Marriage Officer’
It is important to have the Marriage Officer’s name when applying for a marriage certificate. Note “the bride’s copy” is not a certified copy.
